■About Keio Senior High School and Keio Shiki Senior High School

-Keio Senior High School

Keio Senior High School was established in 1948 under the name of Keio First Senior High School and Second Senior High School. The following year, the two schools were merged and renamed Keio Senior High School, and the school moved to its current location when the former University Preparatory School building in Hiyoshi, which had been confiscated by the U.S. military, was returned that fall.
With a total enrollment of approximately 2,200 students and 18 classes per grade level, this boys' school is characterized by its abundance of human resources and diversity of character. In the spirit of Fukuzawa, Keio Gijuku's educational objective is to nurture students who will become “leaders of society” in the future by respecting independence, self-respect, and dignity. -Keio Shiki High School

The high school you are about to enter is a place where you will lay the foundation for your independence as human beings. The founding spirit of Keio University, “Independence and Self-Respect,” is the primary goal of each high school student throughout his or her school life. In keeping with this founding spirit, we at Keio Shiki High School expect our students to be “independent thinkers” first and foremost. During their high school years, students will cultivate the intelligence required as the foundation of an independent person. The most important thing for this is the attitude of discovering questions by oneself and learning to solve them. (Source: Keio Shiki Senior High School HP)
