(1) Admission Policy

(2) Various Entrance Examination Systems 

 Based on the above policy, Keio University has established the following entrance examination systems.

-General Entrance Examination - Entrance Examination with Voluntary Recommendation (Faculty of Letters only)

-Entrance Examination with Recommendation of Designated Schools (Law, Commerce, Science and Engineering, Pharmacy)

-Returnee Student Entrance Examination (all faculties except Nursing and Medical Care) - International Student Entrance Examination (all faculties except Nursing and Medical Care)

-AO Entrance Examination (Law, Political Science, Environment and Information Studies, Science and Engineering, Nursing and Medical Care)

(3) AO Entrance Examinations for the Faculty of Policy Management and the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies

 Both faculties are relatively new within the university, having been established in 1990, and were the first universities in Japan to introduce the AO entrance examination system as one of the measures for attracting students with high potential and versatility. As one of the measures to attract students with high potential and versatility, we introduced the AO entrance examination system for the first time at a Japanese university.

-Specifically, there are the following tests 

First stage test: Submit a statement of reasons for your application, a personal statement, and other application documents. 

Secondary examination: Interview (about 30 minutes)

-The AO entrance examination system is not a system for selecting athletes, so your achievements such as winning various sports competitions in high school will be evaluated qualitatively, but not quantitatively.
